Our History
Kyrgyzstan Sora University was founded in 2010 with a vision to create a world-class institution of higher education in Central Asia. Starting with just three faculties and 500 students, the university has grown rapidly to become one of the leading academic institutions in the region.
Over the past decade, we have expanded our academic offerings, built state-of-the-art facilities, established international partnerships, and developed a reputation for excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.

University Leadership

Dr. Aibek Karimov
President
Dr. Karimov is an internationally recognized scholar with extensive experience in higher education administration. He has led the university since 2018, focusing on strategic growth and international partnerships.

Dr. Elena Kim
Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs
Dr. Kim oversees all academic programs and faculty affairs. She has been instrumental in developing innovative curricula and enhancing the quality of education at KSU.

Dr. Marat Sultanov
Vice President for Research & Innovation
Dr. Sultanov leads the university's research initiatives and innovation ecosystem. Under his leadership, KSU has significantly increased its research output and secured major grants.
